CockpitCalc ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website cockpitcalc.com (the "Site"). This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using CockpitCalc, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Accounts are optional — every calculator works without one. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (the password is handled by our authentication provider, Google Firebase, and is never visible to us). When you save calculations to your account, we store the inputs and results of those calculations (such as weight and balance data, altitude inputs, and other aviation figures you enter).
When you visit CockpitCalc, we and our third-party partners automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the Site. This includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on the Site, and referring URLs. This information is collected by our hosting provider's server logs and by advertising partners through cookies and similar technologies. Values you type into a calculator without saving them are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.

If you create an account, your name, email address, and any calculations you choose to save are stored with Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on Google's servers, and are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Saved calculations are tied to your account and are not shared with other users. We keep account data until you delete it or ask us to delete it. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
